1 Origin

Nauplius was born in Nauplia, Argolis, in 1265 BC.

Nauplius's father was Clytonaeus, son of Naubolus. [Apollo.1.133]

2 Family

Nauplius married Clymene, daughter of Catreus. [Apo.3.2.2, Euri.Scho.Or.5.1, Dictys.1.1]

Nauplius and Clymene had two sons, Oeax and Nausimedon. [Apo.2.1.5]

There is a tradition that Palamedes' mother was Clymene. [Apo.2.1.5]

However, it is believed that Palamedes' mother was Philyra (or Hesione). [See Palamedes]
