3.1 Migration to Acarnania

In 1244 BC, Phyleus migrated from Elis to Dulichium (or Dulichia) in Acarnania. [Apo.2.5.5, Diod.4.33.4, Home.Il.2.625]

The Dulichium in question was probably not an island in the Echinades, but Dulichium (later Paleis) in the west of Cephallenia. [Paus.5.5.5]

 

3.2 Heracles' attack on Elis

In 1240 BC, Phyleus received mercy from Heracles, who occupied Elis. [Diod.4.33.4,

In 1237 BC, Heracles campaigned against the Thesprotians and captured Ephyra. [Apo.2.7.6, Diod.4.36.1]
