Anchises was born in Dardanus, Troad in 1280 BC.

Afterwards, Anchises was attacked by Hittite troops, and escaped Ilium with his son Elymus (or Elyuius) to Sicily. [Antiq.1.52.1]

There is a tradition that Anchises died in Laurentum the year before the battle in which Aeneas was killed. [Antiq.1.64.5]

However, if this is true, Anchises would have died at about 100 years old.

Anchises is believed to have died in Sicily around 1220 BC, shortly after the birth of Aeneas.
