1 Origin

Oenopion was born on the island of Naxos in 1275 BC.

Oenopion's father was Oenarus, a priest of Dionysus. [See Ariadne]

Oenopion's mother was Ariadne, daughter of Minos. [Apo.E.1.9, Diod.5.79.1]

Oenopion married Helice. [Parthe.20]

Oenopion and Helice had five sons, Talus, Euanthes, Melas, Salagus, and Athamas. [Paus.7.4.8]

Oenopion and Helice had a daughter, Merope (or Aero). [Apo.1.4.3, Parthe.20]
