Amyntor was born in Ctimene, Thessaly, in 1283 BC.

Peleus, son of Aeacus, fought against Amyntor of Dolopes. [Ovid.Meta.12.341]

A genealogy shows that the birth year difference between Ctimenus and Peleus is only one generation.

Amyntor's father is thought to have been Ctimenus.

Amyntor had a son, Crantor. [Ovid.Meta.12.341]

 

3 Others

In 1247 BC, Amyntor was defeated in battle by Peleus and gave Crantor to Peleus as a hostage.
