1 Origin

Naxos was born in Latmia near Anactoria (later Miletus) in 1345 BC.

Naxos' father was Polemon. [Diod.5.51.3]

Polemon is presumed to have been the grandson of Ancaeus, founder of Lelegeis (later Miletus). [See Polemon]

Naxos had a son, Leucippus. [Diod.5.51.3]

In 1318 BC, Naxos fought against the Hittites but was defeated. [See Cleochus]

Naxos migrated from Latmia to Dia near Delos. Dia became known as Naxos. [Diod.5.51.3]
