Aulon was born in Mysia of Pergamene in 1200 BC.

Aulon's father was Tlesimenes, son of Parthenopaeus. [Paus.3.12.9]

Aulon's hero mausoleum was in Sparta. [Paus.3.12.9]

Aulon is thought to have emigrated to Arcadia after his father Tlesimenes participated in the siege of Thebes by the Epigoni. [Paus.3.12.9]
