Aegialeus (or Aegialus) was born in Argos in 1238 BC.

Aegialeus' father was Adrastus, son of Talaus. [Apo.3.7.2, Paus.9.5.13, Hyginus.71]

Aegialeus' mother was Demonassa. [Hyginus.71]

Aegialeus married Comaetho, daughter of Tydeus. [Tryph.152]

Aegialeus and Comaetho had a son, Cyanippus. [Paus.2.18.4, Paus.2.30.10, Tryph.152]

Aegialeus was killed in battle while taking part in the attack on Thebes by the Argives led by Alcmaeon, son of Amphiaraus. [Apo.3.7.2, Diod.4.66.1, Paus.2.20.5, 9.5.13]

The body of Aegialeus was carried to Pagae in Megara, where he was buried alongside his father Adrastus, who had also died in Pagae. [Paus.1.44.4, 9.19.2]
