Monarda

Scott Dakota作の12音理論

A new xenharmonic 12-note scale, Monarda. You are invited to add it to your scale collection and make cool music with it!

Monarda has tons of colorful scale and chord resources and varied interval textures on the palette (intervals from all of 2.3.5.7.11.13.17), is really buzzy and concordant when you lean into the otonal chords and melodies, and has lots of tangy xen tensions for dramatic narrative. It's comparatively easy to use, as it fits on a conventional 12-note keyboard or DAW piano roll and has an overall logic *roughly* like 12ed2, but this isn't a mild sauce Pythagorean or 5-limit new-agey dabbler scale, it's seriously xen, and the product of current cutting edge tuning research and design.
