"Das N-EDOs Klavier" in English

I introduce "Das N -EDOs Klavier" music collection written by me (Shunya Kiyokawa). The music collection is constructed in 5EDO(Equal Divisions of the Octave) to 24EDO. EDO scale means each interval size being so even and all. For example, 5EDO's intervals has 240 cent, 24EDO's intervals has 50 cent.

【Abstract】

There is no determined musc theory of nEDO musc. So, I try to create music collection using only one music theory. This music theory of "Das N -EDOs Klavier" is decided by aesthetic seeking no sound of 12 tones. When people listen to nEDO music, each people have different feeling who have already know sound of nEDO or not. Therefore, I think composers using nEDO should create music to teach sound of nEDO.

This musical score doesn't have absolute pitch, but that has relative interval. Because this musical theory uses different intervals every EDO. The intervals have distance over 20 cent from 12 tones.

Musical style has "間" or "Blank" between a phrase and phrase in order to care for sound of nEDO. However, phrases are played a variation because of people are tired of listening to music. And also, the music theory plugs "間" or "Blank" shorter time value tones with time.
