It’s an overall vision of what a culture or society based on empathy looks like. It’s based on mutual presence, inclusion, power with, listening, constructive dialogue, empathic connection, collaborative and creative action for the well being of all. It is the vision of what are we moving towards. Being present. Awareness of the well being of a whole.

In a very short version, when we set the empathy circle intention, it’s to build a culture of empathy: Each person to be able to authentically express themselves and for each person to be heard to their satisfaction

Varsha

To me vision of a culture of empathy means that everyone respects one another disregarding discriminatory elements like race, gender, class, color, nationality etc and that every human has empathy towards one another, be seen and heard.

Bill It means deciding on a list of core values that describe empathy and act on them.

If each of us does the challenging -- and worthwhile -- work of surrendering our self-centeredness and receiving the gift of other-centeredness, we will delight in serving by listening.

We will respect the inherent dignity of each person.

We will be empowered to look for solutions to problems based not on “What’s in it for me?” but rather “What’s in it for us?”

I’m not sure I have a vision of a culture of empathy yet, I’m still exploring what it means to live with empathy in my life. I imagine a culture of empathy creating a world where everyone matters regardless of their status or opinions.

It means everything to me. In every situation I wan Can i Ct to emphasize empathy. The content of my life’s work is about people being with people in an empathic way. A world in peace and harmony. Maybe I am a dreamer, but I know I am not the only one.
