Empathy Training Design Teams Cross Pollination
I was thinking we could open up the 4 different Empathy Training Design teams so anyone can move between the different teams. Everyone has their home team that they always take part in, and can also visit and meet other team members. We are all working on the same project so it would be good to have crosspollination. Also if you miss a meeting you can drop in another one during the week?
Any thoughts on this?
dd Dee-Dee Stout,
Hey All! While I like the idea of openness and sharing all around, I think we’d risk having too many folks on one day and too few on another which could hamper creativity and participation? Also there’s something about getting to know a few folks first before going into the “bigger world” that particularly resonates with me but that’s me. That’s all off the top of my head... how about others?

It would be nice to welcome new co-creators

I love the idea proposed by Edwin; however, also understand DD’s concerns. Maybe we could set limits on how individuals can ‘visit’ the different discussions. I wonder if we sent out a survey to see who would be for or against this idea through Survey Monkey. I bet many people have great suggestions that could provide a resolution. I mean, this entire experience is about listening and communication 😊 A survey of opinions would allow everyone to voice their thoughts and concerns. If you want a survey done, I would be happy to create and distribute this item.

My first thoughts:
This could be a great 'experiment'.
How flexible, open, transparent and willing can we be to connect with other people who have formed a group.
Could we express our feelings of insecurity.
Could it be an example as how to do this when people are put in a new group? (a lot of middle, highschool and college students go through this...)
How can we break through those barriers of feeling safe?
How does a group make space and welcome a new 'unknown' person?
Is there a way how to do this?
On the other hand I expect that most will not switch or visit other groups, unless someone wants to catch up a chatting about a lesson that they missed with their own group, as even in weekly groups sessions people tend to keep their own seat and 'neighbors', so the imagined risk may not really be there.
