How was the experience of taking part in this Listening Well course?
Adding another question: what have we each noticed in ourselves so far since starting this zoom empathy circle.
*** I have noticed great changes in myself. I am much calmer and receptive and actually listening to others better and with greater interest. My need for my own agenda to be heard seems to be mostly a non-issue during conversations. I am feeling more relaxed and spacious during conversations and feeling more satisfaction during and after the interaction. I am feeling more grounded. I can tell a change has and is occurring.

I Like..
This is a very solid and dedicated team.
I love the commitment of everyone.
A good learning and growing experience.
Was able to start from scratch and create the whole website and resources. Feelings of satisfaction and accomplishment.
The outline of the course gives a good structure that builds.
I Wish…
It was clearer on how people could contribute
We had been able to design more refined exercises.
Had been able to make more of all the dialogues and notes.. Ie turn it into articles, or something.
The we could create something that really resonates with a lot of people, ie goes viral.
What if…
We continue with making a video for the next 2 or 3 meetings
Everyone be able to use the video to host online empathy circles.
We then do the next 6 lesson course together.
I Like..
It had a lot of meaning
Every chapter has truth with a capital . real
I Wish…

I loved the experience I had in collaborating with everyone, and the subject matter was compelling.. I seek to understand the overall structure of the course and where the process is headed. I am open to hear about/be trained in Ciejla’s training, because it seems it would add depth to our experience.
What if
If we wish to be able to facilitate the spread of Empathy Circles, then I think we should quickly establish a basic criteria for facilitation, establish a coterie of facilitators, and then solicit participants. One avenue we might explore is having a sign-up sheet online and when we get 3-5 participants, a facilitator would be assigned for online meetings, for 4 meetings, after which the group could decide to continue, or participate in some other way.

Going through the book of Miller worked fabulous for me as I could see sharply where my training differs from his and I loved several exercises that I would like to start using.
I loved the group and the dedication of everybody to show up
I thought the practice of reflective listening straight away was a breakthrough to see how quickly people could be helped with this skill in their differences.
I loved Edwin as taking the leadership over the course, guiding us through the sessions, so I think that is one of the great things to have a facilitator.
I Wish...
What I missed was probably some ‘lose’ discussion time
What if..
How I would like to continue is to show the group the 6 lesson proposal that I created to see if this is something concrete as a basic training in listening; Getting comments adjustments, additions etc.Make the videos with the group where I think a video would be great, and then facilitate the course with new groups to see how it works.
