Dear Maureen, I’m Pete Baklinski and this is your Canadian Pro-Life News Bits where I let you know what’s happening on our country’s pro-life and pro-family front.
Another Ontario town is in the midst of passing a by-law to censor pamphlets with abortion victim photography being delivered to people’s mailboxes. These by-laws are unconstitutional since they attack the speech rights of a group of citizens – namely pro-life citizens. Pro-lifers have as much right to speak as everyone else.
If a town council does not like its residents seeing images of aborted babies, how about instead of shooting down the messenger, they work to end what disgusts them, in this case, abortion? CLC will fight New Westminster’s efforts to pass this by-law.
A horrifying story has emerged from a pro-LGBT Catholic District School Board in Ontario where staff helped a 10-year-old girl socially “transition” to being a “boy” without her parents' knowledge or consent. This story blows the lid off of what’s really going on in schools and how LGBT zealots have infiltrated schools at every level to work their evil.
The second annual 1 Million March for Children will take place in exactly one week. Canadians will take to the streets with a message to gender activists in schools: “Hands off our kids.” Western Standard has written a good report about the genesis of this event.

CLC comment. BC Conservative Leader John Rustad betrayed preborn babies in his response that “Under a BC Conservative government, access to abortion, contraception and other items will remain exactly as it is now. There will be no changes.” We live in an age where Conservative leaders are “conservative” in name only, not in principle. Rustad is a huge disappointment when it comes to life issues. We must pray for courageous leaders to arise who will fearlessly champion the cause of the preborn.

CLC comment: Stories like this explain exactly why CLC so vigorously fights for parental rights in education. Parents absolutely have the God-given right to know what is happening to their child in school. What this school did to this student is simply child abuse.

Maureen, BC NDP Premier David Eby recently took to social media to defend his record on abortion.
He made the following boast: “We're lowering the cost of IVF, making birth control free, and always defending a woman’s right to choose — because everyone deserves control over their reproductive choices including if and when they start a family.”
The poison-coated words coming out of Mr. Eby's mouth when it comes to abortion are mind-boggling.
His most poisonous words are the following line: "We're...always defending a woman's right to choose – everyone deserves control over their reproductive choices including if and when they start a family."
Let's unpack this. A "woman's right to choose" is a code phrase for abortion. Abortion is the intentional killing of a preborn human. It is the greatest of all human rights violations. Any government that champions the killing of innocent human beings has already lost its moral right to govern.
The phrase that "everyone deserves control over their reproductive choices" is true regarding whether or not one engages in sexual intercourse, which can lead to reproduction, but it does not extend to the new human life that can result from such activity.
Preborn babies are fully human and, as such, are endowed with human rights – the first of which is the right to life. Killing an innocent person is never a good moral choice. Such choices in a morally upright society are rightly called “homicide” and merit punishment. Autonomy ends when it brings harm to others. Reproductive choices can never involve the murder of an innocent person.
The final phrase that "everyone deserves control...when and if they start a family" is true regarding one's choice to engage in sexual activity, but it is not true if one has already started a family, namely if the woman is already pregnant with a son or daughter.
Pregnancy is the start of a family. Just as no mother would ever be allowed to kill her born family members, so too should mothers never be allowed to kill her preborn family members.
Family is family, no matter how small.
We must not let pro-abortion politicians get away with poisonous words when it comes to the issue of life. We need to call them out. The preborn are depending on us.
