WEEK FOUR

Wishing you abundant blessings this Thanksgiving weekend.

If you get daily emails from 40 Days for Life headquarters, you will have received an email from Shawn Carney where he quotes the coordinator Tammy, in Tacoma Washington, as she lists a typical week at the abortion site, and I have to agree that this is also what a typical week at Bank and Queen streets also looks like,

·       Positive conversations with some passersby, including some who joined us for prayer

·       Fruitful conversations about the crisis of abortion

·       Vigilers praying together in small groups

·       Witnessing the medical waste vehicle arrive presumably to remove the bodies of aborted babies

·       Positive honks, praise and thumbs-up . . . and some insults

This past week we were able to join our efforts with Life Chain, so the city saw an abundance of pro-life witnessing.

We have now reached the halfway mark of the Fall 40 Days for Life campaign – Join us for the Mid-Point Rally, this coming Sunday, October 20, at the vigil site (southwest corner of Queen and Bank Streets) at 6:00 pm. Meet other vigilers and hear some inspiring talks. You’ll be glad you came.

Here is this week’s prayer and vigil schedule.  Please set aside one hour to pray for an end to abortion.

Tuesday October 15 … (on-site vigil) Noon to 4 pm, Annunciation of the Blessed Virgin Mary Parish

Wednesday October 16 … (on-site vigil) 7 am to 1 pm, Resurrection Parish

Thursday October 17 … (on-site vigil) 7 am to 7 pm, Our Lady of Fatima Parish and St. Ignatius Martyr Parish

Friday October 18 … (on-site vigil) 7 am to 7 pm:  St. John the Apostle Parish; St. Patrick’s Parish, Fallowfield (1 pm to 5 pm); Annunciation of Our Lord Parish

Saturday October 19 … (on-site vigil) 7 am to 7 pm, Divine Infant Parish

Sunday October 20 … (on-site vigil) 7 am to 6 pm:  Our Lady of the Visitation Parish and St. Bernard Parish

6 pm – Mid-Point rally at vigil site
