Dear Maureen, I’m Pete Baklinski and this is your Canadian Pro-Life News Bits where I let you know what’s happening on our country’s pro-life and pro-family front.

The city of London is proposing a by-law to ban images or photographs of preborn babies in the public square. It is doing this at the bidding of the pro-abortion lobby which can’t bear the thought of the public seeing the truth of what abortion does to a preborn baby. CLC has been fighting similar by-laws in the past and we will launch a campaign shortly to help you get involved in the battle.

The Trudeau Liberals are looking to cover the costs of contraceptives for Canadian women in a bid to keep the NDP propping up its sinking government. This is an NDP agenda item. This must be vigorously opposed. Contraception puts women at war with their biology and harms them in numerous ways. It not only prevents new lives from coming into existence but is known to be abortifacient. With our country’s fertility rate at extinction levels, the government should be doing everything in its power to increase births, not prevent children from coming into existence.

Canada's top pro-life investigator Patricia Maloney has just received info from an Access to Information request about the Liberal’s evil plan to strip pro-life pregnancy resource centres of their charitable status, which would cripple them, forcing many of them to close their doors. Based on the documents she received, she found that the Liberals have absolutely no ground on which to make a case against these pro-life centres.

An ex-transgender is defending Alberta Premier Smith’s policy proposals to protect children from transgender ideology by sharing her own story about how she was misled into thinking she was a male. She made terrible medical decisions based on her delusion that will haunt her for the rest of her life. This is a gripping read.

Four of my siblings were aborted: During the Washington D.C. March for Life last month, a woman marched holding a sign that read, “Four of my siblings were aborted. Choose life.” She stopped to share her story with Students for Life of America, and it was shared on the pro-life group’s social media accounts where it went viral.

Maureen, have you ever heard the pro-abortion statement: “Every child a wanted child”?

Planned Parenthood created this poisonous slogan. It equates the value of the preborn child with whether the child is “wanted,” the implication being that if the child is “unwanted,” then he or she is of no value and is therefore disposable.

The value and dignity of human beings along with the rights owed to them, however, are not dependent upon someone else’s desire, whether such a human is “wanted” or “unwanted,” but upon the homo-sapiens nature of this being.

Each human being ultimately derives his or her value and dignity by being created in the image of God to give and receive love. As a rational creature called into being for relationship with others, each is endowed with certain inalienable rights, first and foremost of which is the right to life.

It matters not whether the new life is “wanted” or “unwanted,” each, from the first moment of his or her existence, is a profound treasure that is incalculably precious and whose sacrosanct right to life must be honored and protected.

Every child, both born and preborn, matters. Every child, wanted or unwanted, has the inalienable right to life.

Let’s never tire of working to protect the right to life for every child.
