Dear Maureen, I’m Pete Baklinski and this is your Canadian Pro-Life News Bits where I let you know what’s happening on our country’s pro-life and pro-family front.

It’s been a fantastic week for the pro-family movement here in Canada for a few different reasons.

Firstly, and most importantly, members of the Conservative Party of Canada passed a host of resolutions at the national convention in Quebec City that moved the party positively in a pro-family direction. CLC was there on the ground and we played no small part in making this happen.

There were excellent policies passed, one of them banning transgender surgery for children, another protecting female spaces from males who are under the delusion that they are female, and yet another opposing the expansion of euthanasia.

You can read all about what happened and why this is such good news in Jack Fonseca’s excellent blog post. I’ve also included a few other pieces on this from other pro-family news outlets that are celebrating what happened. Social conservatives across Canada have finally compelled conservative politicians to enter the gender wars and start standing up for parents and their children. It’s great to see some pushback against destructive anti-family ideologies.

Secondly, it’s been a fantastic week because Saskatchewan Premier Scott Moe has doubled down in defending pro-parental-rights education-related policy changes in the province. The changes require that schools inform parents if their children are attempting to socially “transition” to the opposite sex at school. In the face of a lawsuit against the policy from the alphabet crowd, Moe has stood is ground, threatening that he will invoke the “Notwithstanding Clause” that allows the government to override any court ruling to keep the policy in place. Bravo!

There’s an excellent piece from the National Post highlighting the insane hurdles Josh Alexander, the boy who was kicked out of school for opposing gender ideology, is now facing in trying to get back into school to finish his high school.

The Trudeau Liberals not only legalized euthanasia, they’ve now created a training program for doctors who want to specialize in killing their patients. The Federal government unveiled a program on Wednesday to that end. Doctors once upon a time took an oath to “do no harm.” Now, they are trained to kill. It’s so twisted and evil.

Finally, there are some really moving inspirational stories this week, including the one about the mom with brain cancer who refused an abortion, delivered a healthy baby, and is now getting the treatment she needs.

+++ Maureen, it’s an exciting time to be fighting in the trenches in the intense battle that is being waged against the family, children, the male-female binary, and parental rights.

The LGBT movement, which has thus far achieved political victory after victory, is now beginning to feel the massive pushback from everyday Canadians like you and me who are sick and tired of it all. And, this is now translating into pushback from politicians.

Polls show that policies in favor of parental rights are a winning issue. And, politicians are taking note.

Proof of this is what happened in Saskatchewan where Premier Scott Moe doubled down on his policy requiring schools to inform parents if their children have fallen into the clutches of transgender ideology and wish to socially “transition” to the opposite sex. Proof of this is New Brunswick and Manitoba which are getting behind similar policies.

And, finally, proof of this is what happened at the CPC Convention this past weekend where huge gains were made in making the CPC a bulwark against the onslaught of gender ideology. Even CPC leader Poilievre has come out strongly in defence of parental rights, saying that “parents should be the final authority on the values and the lessons that are taught to children,” adding: “I believe in parental rights, and parental rights come before the government's rights.”

Yes, it’s an exciting time to be alive and to finally see some conservative leaders showing some backbone on this important issue.

Parents know what’s best for their children. It’s their God-given responsibility that no one can take away from them. Where parents’ rights are acknowledged and respected, families flourish. And, where families flourish, societies flourish, since the family is the cell of society.

Yes, we are living in exciting times and we have every reason to be hopeful for the future.

Be bold and daring for life!
