Dear Maureen, I’m Pete Baklinski and this is your Canadian Pro-Life News Bits where I let you know what’s happening on our country’s pro-life and pro-family front.
I’ve got some excellent news for you. An Ontario judge found pro-life heroine Linda Gibbons NOT guilty of “mischief” or “interfering” with the running of a Toronto area abortion mill. The judge, at the advice of the Crown, also threw out all of Linda’s other charges, including her provincial bubble zone charges. Hooray!
Linda with a big smile moments after being released from custody. Dec. 5th, 2024.
After the judgement, Linda was released from the docket and surrounded by friends and supporters who hugged her and congratulated her. There was so much excitement in the courtroom that the judge told everyone to finish their hugging outside. CLC was there to capture it all. Enjoy our breaking report on this and some exclusive footage of Linda after her release (the must-see video of the week). She’ll be home for Christmas. We are so happy for you, Linda! Praise God!
Canadian billboard company Pattison Outdoor Advertisements has banned a stunningly beautiful pro-life sign in Manitoba, saying it would create “too much controversy.” Pro-lifers are pushing back against the decision on X (Twitter), calling out the company for silencing pro-life speech. If you’re on X, please click here or on the social media post below relating to this and let this company know about its bad decision.
The NDP delayed debate on a Conservative non-confidence motion last Thursday by forcing a debate on abortion instead. NDP MPs used the same old pro-abortion talking points developed by the Abortion Rights Coalition of Canada to try to convince those in the House that “reproductive rights,” including the so-called right of a mother to kill her preborn children, were somehow backsliding in Canada (I wish this were true). Shamefully, there was not one single Conservative MP who challenged the lies and misinformation.
Quebec’s Premier has threatened to ban public prayer, a move that would impact pro-life activism, such as 40 Days for Life campaigns in the province. Our sister organization, Quebec Life Coalition, has launched a campaign against this, including a petition on the Citizen Go platform.
There are many good news stories in the inspiring news section. Abortion mills are closing. Babies are being saved. Pro-lifers are singing Christmas carols in front of abortion mills to save lives. So much good news to be grateful for! Don’t miss these stories.
Finally, don’t miss my reflection at the end about Liberal hypocrisy when it comes to “women’s rights.”

Linda Gibbons was not expecting a “not guilty” verdict from the judge on charges of interfering with the operation of the Toronto Abortion Clinic through her peaceful pro-life witness. Here she is in her own words immediately after being set free.

Maureen, yesterday, Liberal MP Judy Sgro (Toronto riding of Humber River—Black Creek) released a video in which she denounced “gender-based violence.” She highlighted a 16-day campaign run from Nov. 25 to Dec. 10 to end this kind of violence.
“This is a time to raise our voices, to stand together, and to take action,” she said.
I wholeheartedly agree. The problem is that MP Sgro is not really serious about addressing this problem.
The problem is that gender-based violence starts in the womb.
Corporate media investigations have revealed that sex-selective abortions are happening in Canada on an alarmingly wide scale. Preborn children are being targeted for extermination precisely because they are female.
If MP Sgro were so concerned about ending violence against females, then why did she vote against Bill C-233 in 2021, which would have protected preborn babies from being aborted because they are female?
Let me take a stab at a guess: it’s because MP Sgro is all talk and doesn’t really care about the most vulnerable of Canadian females – the preborn ones.
Sex-selective abortions targeting females are happening right now in Canada. But, MP Sgro does not care about these females. Protecting these females does not fit the Liberal agenda.
You see, MPs like Sgro are simply hypocrites when they talk about standing up for women and their rights. They continually ignore the most vulnerable females among us.
Here’s the truth: ending gender-based violence starts in the womb. Peace on earth begins in the womb.
Until our politicians get this, there will be no peace.
Be bold and daring for life!
