We begin the 40 Days for Life campaign on Wednesday September 25. Please join us in making a special effort to pray, fast and do sacrifices for God’s precious unborn and the end of abortion.
I came across a beautiful prayer guide with a daily devotion that includes an intention, a scripture and prayer, for each of the forty days. You can find it on our website, https://www.40daysforlife.com/en/local-campaigns/ottawa/ by going to the RESOURCES in the right-hand column and clicking on the blue arrow beside Daily Devotions.
Prayer and witnessing at the vigil site are a very important part of the 40 days. If you can, please join us at the southwest corner of Queen at Bank Streets, anytime between 7 am and 7 pm from Sept. 25 to Nov. 3.
Attendance at the vigil site is off to a slow start. Each week I will send an overview as to which church or ministry group is looking after vigil participation (On Ottawa website, right hand column, under Parish Vigil Schedule). You are welcome to join the daily group or go any day on your own. You may view the calendar by going to the Ottawa website page and clicking on the blue box that reads, SIGN UP FOR VIGIL HOURS.
