We’re Moving – Downtown Here We Come!
After 11 years on Canotek Road, we’re excited to announce our October move to
• 424 Queen Street, Unit D, Ottawa, K1R 5A8
We're just a 10-minute walk from Parliament!
This move comes as our current landlord is selling the property. We’ve been incredibly grateful for his generosity and support over the years—including a very affordable rent. While our new downtown rent is more than double what we’ve been paying, we’re thankful to have found such a central location at a reasonable rate.
Welcome Brandan Tran to the Team!
We’re thrilled to welcome Brandan Tran as our new Director of Public Affairs & Outreach – Ottawa. Brandan brings a wealth of experience and passion to the role and will be taking on many of my responsibilities as I begin to step back in January.
Please join us in welcoming Brandan as he helps carry this mission forward with renewed energy and vision.
Thank you all for your continued support, prayers, and involvement. We look forward to seeing many of you at our upcoming events!
For life,

NATIONAL MARCH FOR LIFE MAY 14, 2026
From Wanda
Last February 13, I suffered a stroke. I have come along well since then, having had speech therapy at Bruyere Centre and multiple appointments with multiple doctors. Even though there’s talk about how bad our medical system is, I have to say that I have been having excellent care through the whole process. If I had to pay out of pocket for all the treatment I’ve received, we would have had to sell our house to pay the bill. So, I will not criticize Canada’s medical system; I was well cared for from the time my husband first called the ambulance until today.
Thank you for your prayers; my recovery has been steady. I was not paralysed and people tell me that I look good. I do have a little trouble walking, so I use a cane now and I tire easily. God is good and I know that the prayers of God’s people have helped me through.
Because my cognitive skills are not up to par, I have decided that it is too much for me to remain as the coordinator of the 40 Days for Life campaign, so I am giving the lead back to Campaign Life Coalition (CLC). My CLC email address, wanda40daysforlife@clife.ca is no longer active and I’m not sure how long email from this gmail address will be directed to me, so in the future you may reach me at wandawoj@rogers.com
I was working at CLC Ottawa in 2008 when Nicole Campbell came from the CLC Toronto office, to Ottawa, to initiate 40 Days for Life here. She did an amazing job and got it off to a resounding start. She returned to CLC Toronto leaving Paul Lauzon and Jennifer Snell to continue to guide the program in Ottawa. I was always in the background working from the Ottawa office. When I retired in 2015 I made the commitment to Jim Hughes (then president of CLC), that I would volunteer my time and continue the 40 Days for Life Campaign as leader. For the past 10 years I have had the privilege and the challenge of coordinating Ottawa 40 Days for Life and through it all God has given me an amazing team to help along the way.
I am not giving up, just stepping back. My love for the little children keeps me going.
Pregnant moms don’t always realize the awesome gift that God is giving them. In a secular society, life is not valued the way God intended. We, pro-lifers, believe that life is sacred from the moment of conception until natural death, but not everyone agrees. Abortion and euthanasia are not the choices God wants us to make no matter what society thinks. He is the creator of life, and He has numbered our days. Every life is created on purpose, and for a purpose.
In stepping back, I am asking you, can you help with the Fall campaign (September 24 to November 2) by spending an hour or more to pray at the vigil site, organize a church or group, or help the organizing committee.
Until another coordinator comes forward Debbie Duval in the Ottawa office, 613-729-0379; email, debbie@clife.ca will help out.
Help us witness to the value of life.
God Bless
Wanda Hartlin
