WEEK FIVE

This week I’d like to share something written by Vinny Flynn in his book, 7 Secrets of Divine Mercy. In his book, he has put together a selection of quotes that he calls, The Father’s Love Letter to His Children. It is beautifully put together and I thought I would pass it along . . .

“As you read it, try to imagine God the Father saying all this personally to you:

Fear not for I have redeemed you; I have called you by name, you are mine (Is 43:1) . . . Before I formed you in the womb I knew you (Jer 1:5) . . .

See, upon the palms of my hands I have written your name (Is 49:16 NAB) . . .

I have loved you with an everlasting love (Jer 31:3) . . .

You are precious in my eyes ((Is 43:4) . . .

Even the hairs of your head are all numbered (Mt 10:30)

Can a mother forget her infant, be without tenderness for the child in her womb? Even should she forget, I will never forget you (Is 49:15, NABRE) . . .

Though the mountains leave their place and the hills be shaken, My love will never leave you (Is 54:10, NAB) . . .

I will be a father to you, and you shall be my sons and daughters (2Cor 6:18)

For I know well the plans I have in mind for you, . . . plans for your welfare, not for woe! Plans to give you a future full of hope. When you call me, when you go to pray to me, I will listen to you . . . When you seek me with all your heart, you will find me with you (Jer 29:11-14, NAB)”

Here is this week’s prayer and vigil schedule.  Only two weeks are left for the 40 Days for Life campaign and the number of committed vigil days is declining, so if you are able, please come out to the vigil site to pray.

Saturday October 26 . . . (on-site vigil) 7 am to 7 pm, St. Mary (OLGC) Parish

Sunday October 27 . . . (on-site vigil) 7 am to 7 pm, Good Shepherd Parish
