Dear Maureen, I’m Pete Baklinski and this is your Canadian Pro-Life News Bits where I let you know what’s happening on our country’s pro-life and pro-family front.
The big news this week is that pro-life Christian grandmother Linda Gibbons has penned a letter from jail to the Canadian pro-life movement. We’re so thrilled and honoured that Linda entrusted this letter to us to share with all of you. You can read our report on this and the letter itself in the link below.
In the wake of the US election, Quebec has decided to invest over $7 million so the province’s mothers can kill their preborn children. Quebec, which is so eager to preserve its language and customs, has no problem killing off its future. Children are Quebec's future. Funding their killing expedites the province’s demise. Pray for Quebec.
Nova Scotia NDP leader Chender Claudia recently promised that, if elected, she would target the province’s four pro-life pregnancy care centres that work tirelessly to help vulnerable women and save lives by providing second chances to preborn babies at risk of abortion. We’ve launched a campaign to defend these centres.
Dr. Diane Francoeur, CEO of the Society of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists of Canada, has been caught outright lying to Canadian women when she said about the use of the abortion pill that "once it's started, you can't go back."
That's certainly not the experience of UK doctor Dermot Kearney, who has helped over 60 women give birth to healthy babies after reversing the effects of the abortion drugs. Also, the Abortion Pill Rescue Network just announced that 6,000 lives have been saved through the abortion pill reversal process. If Dr. Francoeur were really "pro-choice," she would not lie to Canadian women about their real and effective options.

Maureen, there has been much talk from reporters and journalists about the collapse of the birthrate in practically all Western countries.
The number of babies born in Sweden is now at the lowest level since records began in 1749. The birthrate in Britain is similarly at the lowest level since records began in 1938.
The birthrate in Canada is no better.
Health Canada announced earlier this year that our country’s fertility rate had fallen to the “lowest-low” of 1.26. At least 2.2 is needed to maintain the current population and sustain our social infrastructures such as healthcare through the tax base.
“This is a disaster,” wrote Swedish journalist Peter Imanuelsen on X (Twitter). “Why are the fertility rates collapsing so much?”
One response he surprisingly received was from Space X founder Elon Musk: “Instead of teaching fear of pregnancy, we should teach fear of childlessness.”
The fact is that the Trudeau Liberals have been pushing fear of pregnancy for 9 years.
It’s been pushed on our country’s children through “sex education” in schools across Canada. Children are taught that “safe sex” means using medical or mechanical interventions to block the biological purpose of the sexual act, which is to create children.
Western sex education largely teaches children that they have so-called sexual rights and that they can and should do whatever they want with their bodies while avoiding becoming pregnant. When they inevitably conceive, they are taught how to “take care of it” by means of abortion.
The fact is that Canada is contracepting and aborting itself out of existence.
Yes, the West pushes fear of pregnancy, fear of babies, fear of commitment, and fear of responsibility on the up-and-coming generation.
To reverse course will mean to restore the family unit, the cell of society. It will mean restoring the concept of marriage in our society as an unbreakable union between a man and a woman.
Society goes as the family goes. If the family is healthy and strong, society will be healthy and strong. If the family disintegrates, so will society.
As for me, I’m trying to do my part by raising a large family of nine and teaching my daughters about the beauty of their femininity and my sons about the mightiness of their masculinity.
Building a culture of life starts with each one of us. It starts with how we raise our own families.
We have our work cut out for us.
