Il titolo del Convegno “La natura in mente” fa pensare all’itinerario di San Buonaventura da Bagnoregio, il quale in più occasioni invita a scoprire il Trascendente anche attraverso la contemplazione della bellezza della natura. È un viaggio formativo per la mente e per l’anima. Quando guardiamo con stupore il cielo e le stelle o le acque cristalline di un ruscello, per analogia contempliamo l’autore della bellezza (cfr Sap 13,3). Essa è stata data in dono al genere umano, che è chiamato a coltivarla e custodirla (cfr Gen 2,15). Nelle Sacre Scritture il bello e il buono sono inscindibili.

The title of the conference “Nature in Mind” brings to mind the itinerary of Saint Buonaventure of Bagnoregio, who on several occasions invites us to discover the Transcendent also through contemplation of the beauty of nature. It is a formative journey for the mind and soul. When we gaze in wonder at the sky and the stars or the crystal-clear waters of a stream, by analogy we contemplate the author of beauty (cf. Wis 13:3). It has been given as a gift to the human race, which is called to cultivate and preserve it (cf. Gen 2:15). In Sacred Scripture, the beautiful and the good are inseparable.

El título del Congreso “La naturaleza en la mente” hace pensar en el itinerario de san Buenaventura de Bagnoregio, quien en más de una ocasión invita a descubrir al Trascendente también a través de la contemplación de la belleza de la naturaleza. Es un viaje formativo para la mente y para el alma. Cuando miramos con estupor el cielo y las estrellas o las aguas cristalinas de un arroyo, por analogía contemplamos al autor de la belleza (cfr. Sb  13,3). Esta fue dada en don al género humano, que está llamado a cultivarla y custodiarla (cfr. Gen  2,15). En las Sagradas Escrituras lo bello y lo bueno son inseparables.
