Donate Life

The Donate Life project is a project we have done every year to raise awareness for organ and tissue donation. For this years Donate life, I was stuck not knowing what I had wanted to do. I realized I had some canvas paper laying around and wanted to create some sort of nature scenery to step away from my sustained investigation. With that, I decided to create a rainbow scenery.

To start off, I sketched out my design in pencil and then I began painting the background white for an undercoat. I first started the scenery with the grassy land and then continued with the river, rainbow and finally the sky. This process was very tedious and time consuming but once I finish and add the letter it will be put together very nicely.

Overall, I like the idea of this Donate life project but one specific part I found extremely difficult was the sky. trying to add texture and clouds to the sky was very difficult and although not every cloud is the same and perfect, I wanted it to look as noticeable as possible. However, the cloudy sky is sort of just different textures, I still like the way it turned out.
