For my sustained investigation number 12d I decided I wanted to branch out from using normal colors and add more fun a bright colors that make my art pop and more attention grabbing.
To start off I printed a picture that was in my camera roll and I used that as a reference as for the angle of the photo because I thought it would help me draw it more realistically. Once I was done with my sketch I immediately started on the face of a portrait. I always start with my background first but I didn't know what I wanted to do for a background so I left that for last. As I was saying in the first paragraph, I branched out from normal colors of skin tone, hair color, Etc. and decided to create my piece with purple hair. My ideas are visually evident in this peace because it shows all the different usage of the colors and playing with the perspective.
Overall, I spent a good time on this project and I had fun while creating it because I got to branch out and use fun colors and not have to worry about making things look perfect and realistic because that's what I tend to do. I am really proud of the way it turned out and I really like the split color background as well.
