Taking into account the need for radical reforms in recent years to radically improve archaeological research, conduct large-scale research on major archeological monuments, promote our ancient history and rich culture to our people and the world community, the Cabinet of Ministers decides:

1. To the Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Uzbekistan:

establishment of the National Archaeological Center (hereinafter referred to as the Center) in the form of a state institution in the system of the Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Uzbekistan in order to provide scientific and methodological guidance to archaeological research in the country and the widespread introduction of modern research methods in natural resources;

On the basis of the Institute of Archaeological Research of the Academy of Sciences in the form of a branch of the Center without the status of a legal entity Ya. To approve the proposal to establish the Samarkand Institute of Archeology named after Gulyamov.

5. To determine that the Center is the legal successor of Institute of Archaeological Research of the Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Uzbekistan on all rights, obligations and contracts.
