A gold necklace belonging to Nakhchivan national costume collector was found during excavations conducted by the Nakhchivan Division of ANAS and the National Research Center of France in the ancient settlement of Ovchular tepesi, Sharur region.

It is the oldest golden thing found in the Caucasus, a whole new page in the history of Caucasian archeology, ethnography, decorative-applied arts, especially in the Azerbaijani jewelry art and national clothing culture.

Researchers refer the Golden Neck to the Last Eneolithic Age. The yellow necklace is 6 millimeters in diameter and 18 centimeters wide.
