Historical-critical information:

The parure was found near via San Pero, near the extra-urban cemetery church of Luni dedicated to St. Peter. The parure probably belonged to a funerary outfit; the presence of the holes suggests that the elements were sewn on the neckline of a dress of a high-ranking woman. The decorative elements and the inscription "use it happily" on the larger plate can be interpreted as a formula to neutralize the evil influences.
