On July 20th ,2015, the handover ceremony of cultural relics looted from Dabuzi Mountain and the opening ceremony of“Charm of Qin- the special exhibition of returned cultural relics looted from Dabuzi Mountain”were held in Gansu Provincial Museum.

The exhibition uses the narrative methods, takes 32 pieces of gold slices as the main line and adopts the way that combines physical display, picture with text panel. It is divided into four units: national treasure home, blow and rescue, protect and research, recourse and return.

In addition to 32 pieces of gold slices that were unearthed in the Dabuzi Mountain, Gansu Provincial Bureau of cultural relics solicited 109 pieces of cultural relics from Gansu Provincial Museum, Gansu Institute of cultural relics and archaeology and Li county Museum. The exhibition totally displays 141 pieces of cultural relics that including 61 pieces of gold plates, 56 pieces of bronzes, 18 pieces of jades and 6 pieces of potteries.

This scale-shaped gold ornamental piece, unearthed in Lixian County, Gansu Province, and currently preserved in Gansu Provincial Museum, has a height of 12.1 centimeters and a width of 7.65 centimeters

They were made of gold with the shape of scale. The decoration of the surface consisted of three parallel lines, one arc and a triangle in the middle is like two mouths or the Chinese character “宫”.

These are lots of scale-shaped gold ornamental pieces discovered in the Qin-Dynasty tomb. These scale-shaped gold ornamental pieces are considered as parts of the bird’s wings on the coffin. One the one side, these unique decorations show the people’s worship to their ancestor; on the other side, they present the excellent skills in metallurgy.
