"Watching" an account outside of your assigned scope allows you to view the account's metrics and notifications, leading to better collaboration, supervision, alignment, and transparency across departments. For example, a manager may want to "watch" at-risk accounts that are being managed by their team. Or, a sales rep may want to "watch" the performance of accounts they've recently sold. You can watch an account using the "Watch/Unwatch" tool in the bulk edit menu for accounts.
To add or remove an account from your "watched" list:
Click the Settings & Tools gear icon in the top menu.
Select Accounts in the dropdown menu.
Check the box for the accounts you want to watch.
In the bulk edit menu (the blue bar across the top of the account list), click Watch/Unwatch.
Choose Watch Selected Accounts or Unwatch Selected Accounts in the dropdown menu.
Verify the "watch" status of the account under the Watched column.
Close the bulk edit menu by clicking the X icon.
Want to narrow down your list of accounts to only the accounts you're watching (or, for a broader view, both accounts you're watching and accounts you're assigned to)? Follow these steps:
Click the Settings & Tools gear icon in the top menu.
Select Accounts in the dropdown menu.
Click Showing All Accounts in the filter field.
Select Assigned and Watched or Watched to see only your watched accounts.
