With Backpack's Media Sources feature, managing media assets for your advertising accounts is easy. In Media Sources, you can:
Upload assets from your computer using the drag-and-drop feature.
Use associated media tags within your Blueprint for quick creative updates.
Resize images to meet the default pixel dimensions required by various partners.
Use the Website Media Scanner tool to scan a URL page and automatically pull images into a media collection.
In This Article:
Go to Manage in the top menu in Backpack.
Select an account from the list.
Click Account Settings in the top right.
Select the Blueprints tab and then the Media Sources tab.
Click the name of a media collection to see the assets within that collection.
Tip: Click List View to see smaller images with more detail, or click Filter to sort the assets according to media size.
If no media assets exist within an account, you can add them manually or by using Fluency's Website Media Scanner tool to automatically pulls images into Backpack from a website.
Under the Media Sources tab in Account Settings, click + Add New.
Enter a name for the media collection in the Data Name field.
Drag and drop your media assets, or click to browse for them on your device. Note: Make sure to drop the media assets into the designated area—box with a dotted line perimeter.
Under the Media Sources tab in Account Settings, click Website Media Scanner.
Select a Refresh Frequency in the bottom left: Manual, Weekly, or Monthly.
Click + Add New Page on the botton right.
Enter a URL (e.g., https://www.fluency.inc/) in the Page URL field.
In the Media Collection Destination field, select an existing collection, or enter a name to create a new collection.
Specify an image size in pixels. The scanner will only pull in images larger than those dimensions.
Click Refresh Now (the counterclockwise arrows next to Refresh Frequency).
Click Save to close the Website Media Scanner window.
Click Save on the Account Settings window to save the media source.
Note: The collection may take 5–10 minutes to appear in your list of media sources. You may also need to refresh your browser.
Need to delete a media asset you added? Click the X in the upper right corner of the image. You can also delete all the assets by clicking Clear All Media. Click Yes I'm Sure to finalize this action. Note: This will not delete the collection—you can do that by clicking Delete Collection.
Once you've added media assets to a collection, you can edit an asset using the toolbar at the top of the image.
(i) View Additional Media Information: See the asset's name, dimensions, file size, file type, excluded, sizes, and tags.
(✎) Edit Media: Edit the asset's name and add tags.
(➕) Move To: Move the asset to a different collection.
(⧄) Duplicate and Resize: Crop and resize the asset to default dimensions for your advertising output (e.g., Facebook Feed, pMax, etc.).
(📋) Copy URL to Clipboard
(➦) Open Full Image in New Window
(✕) Delete Image from Collection
Note: For files linked to Polling Sources, editing requires saving a new file to a different media collection.
