Budget Configuration allows you to set up budget strategies for campaigns at the Blueprint level. This eliminates the need to input the same budget settings within each account after launching the Blueprint. There are two steps to the process—first set up a budget configuration and then link it to a campaign within a Blueprint.
To begin, follow these steps to set up a budget configuration:
Go to Blueprints in the top menu.
Choose a Blueprint from the list on the left.
Expand the Settings & Configuration dropdown and navigate to the Budget Config. tab.
Click + Add a Budget Configuration.
Click the Search dropdown and select a channel (Search, Shopping, Display, Facebook, YouTube, or Performance Max).
Enter a name in the field next to the channel and click the ➕ button to finish adding the budget configuration.
Input your settings for Pacing Strategy, General Settings, Partner Allocations, and Underspend Mitigation.
Click Save Changes to finish.
After you've successfully set up a budget configuration, you can proceed to link it to a campaign within a Blueprint. Here's how:
Go to Blueprints in the top menu.
Choose a Blueprint from the list on the left.
Within the Blueprint, select a campaign.
Expand the Budget & Bidding dropdown.
Click on the field under Linked Budget and select a budget configuration. Note: You will only see the budget configurations that match the campaign type.
Click Save Changes.
Tip: Use tags when naming your budget configuration to align with the naming you might use in your Blueprint campaign name.
