Bulk Manage allows you to quickly make changes across multiple accounts, streamlining your operations and boosting productivity. Our team continually expands the list of available bulk actions to provide you with swift and effective account management.
In This Article:
Go to Manage in the top menu.
Check the box next to one or more accounts in the list.
In the blue bulk edit menu that appears at the top of the account list, click Bulk Manage.
Optional:
Add a filter (see instructions below).
Toggle Include read-only accounts at the top right to apply changes to accounts in read-only mode.
Apply a filter to view specific accounts by clicking Showing All Accounts at the top right and choosing a filter (e.g., Assigned to Me, Read Only Accounts, etc.).
Add additional actions by clicking + Add an Action.
In the Actions section, click the Please Select dropdown to choose the element you want to make bulk changes to: Account, Budget, Campaign, Ad Group, Keyword, or Creative.
Select your desired action from the second Please Select dropdown that appears.
Click Preview to verify the accuracy of the changes.
Click Apply to implement your changes immediately, or choose Schedule to apply them at a later date.
Confirm your changes by clicking the gear icon (Settings & Tools) in Backpack's top navigation menu and selecting Bulk Receipts from the dropdown. You can cancel scheduled changes here.
Below are examples of bulk actions you can apply to advertising elements within Backpack:
To lock fields in bulk, select an element (all except Account) and then select locking fields and disabling blueprint automation.
To unlock fields in bulk, select an element (all except Account) and then select unlocking fields and re-enabling blueprint automation.
Using filters helps narrow down your list to only those accounts, budgets, campaigns, or other advertising elements you want to modify in bulk. Within the Bulk Manage feature, you'll find the filtering tool collapsed by default. You may need to expand it open before proceeding with the directions below.
Click the + Add a Filter Set button, and specify an Account, Budget, Campaign, Ad Group, Keyword, or Creative.
Choose between All rules match or Any rules match.
Select the field you want to change, and use "and/or" statements to apply multiple rules or filter sets as necessary.
Enter the desired value for filtering.
You can view all bulk changes made to one or more accounts using the Bulk Manage Receipts feature in Backpack.
There are two ways to access Bulk Manage Receipts:
Option #1:
Go to Manage in the top menu.
Check the box next to one or more accounts in the list.
In the blue bulk menu that appears at the top of the account list, click Bulk Manage.
Select View Receipts to the right of the Bulk Manage title.
Option #2:
Navigate to Settings & Tools (gear icon in the top right corner) in the top navigation menu.
Select Bulk Receipts from the dropdown.
You can view the details for a bulk change by selecting an action in the Submissions list in Bulk Manage Receipts. An overview of the bulk action will open and include the following information:
The date and time of the bulk action
The number of total updates along with the accounts impacted
A summary of the bulk action
The names of the impacted accounts
Children modified: The levels impacted (e.g., ad groups, budgets, keywords, etc.)
The status of the bulk action
