Toe Flick
Goal
Leg push is lateral, with both legs pushing equally.
Helps when a skier stalls skating up hills.
Details
At the end of a leg push, flick the toe up and away. This trick works helps to avoid bogging down on steep hills.
Alternate wording: Try to carve a semi-circle in the snow with your toe as you push off. For your right leg, this would be writing a "C" in the snow.
