Elf Ski
Goal
Leg force is generated by flexing all joints, followed by a quick extension that projects the COM forward and across onto the other ski.
Helps when a skier has trouble balancing on one ski and does not use their full range of motion (flex and extend).
Details
Skiing small like an Elf. Skiers must always return to deep flexion through any of the following variations.
1) Lengthening Strides: Lengthen each stride along a slight downslope, maintain longer balance time on each ski.
2) Stride Countdown: Use less strides over multiple attempts at a distance on slight upslope.
3) Long Push: Skiers push to the limit of their leg extension so the push ski lifts.
4) Karate Push: Skiers aim to shoot snow from the ski at end of the push.
