Hip Touch
Goal
Leg push begins as hands pass the hips.
Helps when a skier moves to the new ski too early, or they step before propelling their COM in the direction of the new ski.
Details
Have skiers brush their hips with thumb or fingers as their arms recover during the Double Pole action. Skiers stay flexed on their gliding ski until the thumb touch and then start the leg push onto the new ski. Use poles.
