Straight Slalom
Goal
Skier reduces braking action by rising and reducing the size of the wedge.
Helps when a skier is too stiff when trying to brake. This task gives them something else to focus on.
Details
Obstacles (poles, cones, half tennis balls...) are place to form gates about 1m apart, down a slope. The skier brakes before the gates and then extends to bring the skis parallel as they pass through the gates.
