Half-and-Half

Goal

Ski edges as COM moves away from the ski at the start of the push.

Helps when a skier has trouble stepping onto gliding ski (Balance).

Helps when a skier needs to develop edge control and lateral push skills (Propulsion).

Details

Using a classic track, keep one ski in the outside track and push only with other leg (half skate). While standing still, start the push, feel the pressure on the heel of the push foot.
