Stationary Alpine Stance
Goal
Skier stands in a balanced position, able to adjust to changing terrain.
Helps when a skier stands too stiffly and/or erect when moving down a hill, and is unable to keep their balance in change terrain. Often this results in falling backwards.
Details
Skier stands with torso slightly rounded and shoulders in front of ankles. Hips, knees and ankles are slightly flexed. Perform this while stationary and progress to maintaining it during a straight run descent.
