Like a Ballerina
Goal
Moving COM over BOS as it moves forward onto the new ski. Recovery foot becomes weighted in front of the other foot.
Helps when a skier steps too far forward with recovering foot causing COM to be back.
Details
Over-emphasize back leg extension, lifting the ski off the ground, to counterbalance as the skier remains forward and stays longer on the glide ski. Pretend to ski like a ballerina in arabesque.
