Soft Ankles
Goal
Ankle, knee, hip and torso align to balance over a flat ski. Leg force is generated by flexing all joints, followed by a quick extension that projects the COM forward and across onto the other ski.
Helps when a skier stands/skis with stiff legs or reduced flexsion and extension.
Details
Stand on one ski with pressure primarily on the ball of the foot. Let the knee sink down towards the snow. Relax/soften the ankle and see the knee sink a little deeper.
