Hands on Knee

Goal

The skier forms a wedge by rotating both legs, steering the skis along the desired arc resulting in more pressure on the outside ski.

Helps when a skier's upper body leans uphill or they are balanced on the uphill ski.

Details

Without poles, while in a wedge, have skier place both hands over the outside of one knee. Align their chin over their hands and holding that position, glide forward rotating their lower body to turn. This becomes the outside ski.
