Double Tap

Goal

Ankle, knee, hip and torso align to balance over a flat ski. The ski is flat when it contacts the snow. Ski edges as COM moves away from ski at start of push phase.

Helps when a skier has trouble holding balance or body position on one gliding ski.

Details

Gliding on one ski, tap the snow twice with pole tips before transferring to the other ski.

Progression: complete two full poling actions while balanced on one ski, then project onto the other ski and pole twice while balanced on that ski.
