Season Summary
During the KAIAC season, the team ended with a 5-5 record, placing 4th in the KAIAC conference. Heading to ACSC, the team did not know what to expect from the teams there and experienced excellent gameplay from the opposing teams due to very strong and powerful hitters. The team finished 4-3 in round robin play, seeding them 4th again. The girls then played 6 more games to end the tournament in 3rd place, taking down the home team Dalat along the way. Christina Kwon and Diane Lee received all-tournament honors and Diane Lee received the ACSC Best Receiver award.
Returning from ACSC, the girls were very motivated to keep improving as they neared the end of their season. The KAIAC tournament schedule was very difficult, playing CI and SFS in order to make it into the championship game. The girls worked hard to beat out CI and SFS in 3 sets straight. Then ultimately took Osan down to take the 2023 KAIAC Girls Volleyball Championship. Diane Lee, Avery Sohn, Ellie Fertig, and Chloe Smith were recognized on the All-tournament team for KAIAC. Ellie Fertig received the KAIAC Best Hitter award and Chloe Smith received the KAIAC MVP and Best Server awards.
