2016-17

Season Summary

This season started off challenging, with a new coach and half of the team starting for the first time. This very young team met the reality of the challenges in cheer after their first time out on the court. Through diligence and dedication, however, this team became one and worked together to achieve a goal. As they went into the KAIAC tournament, the athletes were tired and frustrated at not being able to nail the routine needed for the tournament. After being reminded to compete against themselves and become the best they could be at their routine, the team pushed through and accomplished their goals. This attitude and determination is what brought the girls to 3rd place in the KAIAC tournament, a place they would have never expected to see at the beginning of the season. In addition to this 3rd place award, they also had two students, Samantha Lee and Vanessa Shim, who were awarded the "All-KAIAC" award for their individual performance.
