Season Summary
This season was the first season for the husband and wife coaching team of Harry and Kristen Creech would join Coach Martens. They would also inherit a strong group of senior that had played for 3-4 years together.
The season was fairly balanced, with the right doses of competitiveness, team spirit, adversity, and success. The girls' practice mentality was right and they really enjoyed coming out to train while also being pushed physically and mentally.
Season Highlights:
• Beating SFS at SFS - This was so great as the girls grew in belief and show tremendous fight. And it was the first time in YISStory!
• June Sohn - Seeing June have arguably her best season was a highlight. She was very courageous and led the team well and just thrived!
• ACSC Guam - While there were plenty of fun stories of adversity, this was a big highlight of the year.
• Fighting for the Conference Title - At the beginning, it didn't appear that YISS would be in the conversation. It was thrilling for the girls to be fighting for the top spot even on the last day of the season.
