Season Summary
It would prove to be another successful year for the boys tennis team. Another winning season...another top 5 finish...and a 4th place finish in their first year competing in Far East. Led by senior captain Ross Chu and Junior captain Steven Song, the boys put great effort into having a successful year. While Ross didn't have a standout season on the court at the #2 spot, he led the team emotionally with his enthusiasm and comic relief. The boys (and other teams) were always laughing and enjoying being able to play. Jun had another good season at #1, finishing 4th in KAIAC.
The Far East team of Jun, Ross, Steven, and Andrew H. Park proved to be a force to be reckoned with in their first year at the event. Jun earned his way to the quarter-finals, shocking the Japan-heavy field. And the doubles team of Jun and Andrew also made their way to the quarters, giving eventual champions St. Mary's a run for their money in that match. Ross almost broke through, going to a tie-breaker against Daegu #1 Michael Hwang in his 2nd round match. Overall, the boys would finish 4th in a field of 16 teams, the best finish for any of the small schools in attendance.
