Season Summary
The beginning of the season was full of optimism. The team believed that they could have a successful season with the group that they had. Although the season started off slowly, with a draw in the first game, the boys put in the work and developed a playing style that would see them compete against the top teams in the conference.Â
The season highlight would be split between two games. The last game of the season, the boys won in a thrilling PK shoot out. Caleb Paik made a huge save that swung the momentum. The win would see the YISS boys win 3rd place in the KAIAC tournament. The other highlight is the first game against SFS. SFS is always a quality and well coached team. However, the YISS boys were able to steal a game from them thanks to a well executed game plan and a top bins 35 yard free kick by Eujun Kim in the dying moments of the game.
Overall the 2024 season was full of growth; the team found an identity and a play style that could be a foundation for future teams to build upon.
