Season Summary
The team showed growth through the first half of the season, showing more consistent scoring, typically scoring at least 5 points in each quarter and not experiencing the 5-7 minute droughts typical in the first few games of the season. The girls scored an average of 34 points and held opponents to under 19 per game, a big improvement from last year. This improvement was evident in the rematch against KIS, which was the only loss of the season early on. In the 2nd meeting, the girls dominated, winning by almost 20 at home.
Free throws were a struggle throughout the season and ended up costing the girls some close games in both the Cup and ACSC tournaments. Overall, the girls showed tremendous heart and pushed themselves to improve all the way to the end of the season. As a result of their efforts, they won the Red Division season title and put themselves in the promotion spot. They and the boys followed up the season efforts with a tournament performance that secured the spot in the Blue Division for the 25-26 season.
