2013-14

Season Summary

Overall, the Girls Varsity Tennis Team finished strong, placing third for both the KAIAC season and tournament.  Jenny Lee led the girls as their captain and also as the first singles player. Yejoo Kang also joined this year as a freshmen and held her position at second singles to make for a promising start to her high school tennis career.  Dongmin Koo played third singles, and Amanda Lee and Jenny Yoo led the first doubles team this year.

Cathy Park and Joanne Ryu placed second in all of KAIAC among the second doubles teams.  The seniors, Jenny Lee, Amanda and Dongmin, along with Yejoo, ended the season well for the girls by representing YISS at the Far East Tournament in Okinawa, Japan, where they took home the title of First Place for the girls among the division two schools, bringing back a banner to show for it.  Though the team is losing its seniors, the team's alternates are strong and ready to prove themselves on the courts next year.
